FAQs

1. What are your operating hours?

Our child care centre is proudly open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to support the diverse and often demanding schedules of families in our community. While child care is available around the clock, our administrative office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During this time, our team is available to answer questions, assist with enrolment, and provide support.

2. What age groups do you accept?

We provide care for children from birth up to 12 years old.
Our programs are tailored to suit the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children, with age-appropriate learning environments and play-based programming at every stage.

3. What are the current child care fees?

As of April 2025, we follow the standard parent fees set by the Alberta Affordability Grant model:

  • Full-Time Care (100+ hours/month): $326.25/month
  • Part-Time Care (50–99 hours/month): $230.00/month
  • Less Than 50 Hours/Month: We offer hourly bundles for flexible or occasional care. Please contact us for a breakdown of these options.
  • Respite Care (FSCD-funded): Fees are billed according to FSCD-approved hourly rates, and we coordinate directly with caseworkers for invoicing.
4. Is financial assistance available for child care?

Under the current system, there is no longer a separate subsidy application process. The affordability grant has been integrated into our standard fee structure, significantly reducing monthly costs for families.
For children receiving services through FSCD (Family Support for Children with Disabilities), funding may be available for respite care and other supports.

5. How do I register my child for care?

We’ve made the enrolment process simple and accessible. To register your child, please visit our [Enroll] page on our website. There, you’ll find everything you need to get started, including forms, program options, and contact information for follow-up support.

6. What qualifications do your child care staff have?

Our team is composed of passionate professionals who meet and exceed Alberta’s early childhood education standards.

  • Child care staff are certified according to Alberta’s Early Childhood Educator (ECE) levels.
  • Our programming is grounded in FLIGHT: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework, which emphasizes responsive, play-based learning.
  • Staff working in our respite and disability support programs have additional, recognized training and certifications specific to working with children with disabilities, aligned with FSCD expectations.
7. Are meals provided at your centre?

We do not provide meals or snacks at our child care centre.
This decision was made with thoughtful consideration and is intended to ensure:

  • Respect for each child’s dietary needs, cultural values, and family preferences
  • Enhanced food safety and allergy control
  • Encouragement of healthy eating habits through parent-led meal planning

We ask families to provide nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with the Canada Food Guide. We’re happy to support you with lunchbox ideas and guidance if needed.

8. What happens if I pick up my child late?

We understand that life can be unpredictable. However, in order to respect the time of our educators and maintain smooth transitions for all children, a late pickup fee of $40.00/hour will be charged during the first hour after your scheduled pickup time. If ongoing or extended care is required beyond your scheduled hours, we’re happy to discuss options that suit your family’s needs.
